Erikson Cottage has a restaurant that from the outside almost appears to be a normal barn; what greets you inside, however, is something else entirely. In 2019, we chose to convert this barn into a restaurant and farm bakery; during this process, we took care to ensure that it was accessible to all. Here, you can enjoy good food made from local produce in a rustic, homely, and fresh environment. A restaurant out of the ordinary! The food is cooked by Elisabeth who, after working for an international company for many years, chose to walk a different path in order to realise her dreams in 2017. Elisabeth studied at Eldrimner, Sweden’s national resource centre for artisanal food making in Östersund. The fact that the restaurant, catering, and farm bakery are located on the farm where she grew up and which for the last 25 years has been her and her husband Jörgen’s home is, naturally, a dream come true!
In our restaurant, we are able to host parties of up to 40 people, and our menu reflects the tastes and appetites of our guests. Insofar as we are able to do so, we use local produce and ecological products. We can, among other things, offer pizza made using ancient grains and sourdough, which is prepared in our wood-fired pizza oven imported from Italy, located in the restaurant itself.
