Who are we
We are Elisabeth and Katarina, the sisters behind Erikson Cottage, where our farm sits nestled against the Swedish forest, surrounded by the breathtaking splendor of nature.
In spring, lovely flowers bloom in our garden, and during summer, we’re just a ten-minute walk from the lake and beach – where we often take a dip and fish during summer evenings. In autumn, the forest is filled with mushrooms, so we also enjoy spending many hours in nature then.
In winter, we have access to ski trails, which we gladly take advantage of. As you can tell, we love our farm and the nature that surrounds it.
We wanted to give more people the opportunity to experience our little piece of paradise, so in 2015, we began renting out the cottage on the farm, something that has been greatly appreciated by both national and international guests.
In 2017, Elisabeth decided to take the leap and realize her dream of starting her own business on the farm.
She then trained in artisanal food production at Eldrimner in Östersund, and in 2019, we started renovating our barn to turn it into a bakery and restaurant. What could be better than realizing her dream, especially at our little paradise? Since then, she has been working on baking sourdough bread, hosting pizza events, running the restaurant, and catering.
Starting from spring 2021, Katarina has also become an active co-owner in the business. In 2020, Erikson Cottage, along with three other entrepreneurs, was named Rural Developer by Leader Sjuhärad!
